Meet Sean Murray: Owner & Founder

For Sean Murray, the beauty industry has always been about more than great hair—it’s about continued growth, education, and helping others feel their best.

A La Grange/Brookfield area native, Sean began his career in 1980 and has spent his entire professional journey serving the La Grange community. Before becoming a salon owner, he trained to become a color educator, sparking a lifelong passion for hair color and advanced education. In 1992, Sean opened Sean Patrick’s Salon & Spa, creating a space where both clients and beauty professionals could grow.

Over the years, Sean’s passion for beauty has expanded well beyond hair. He has developed a strong interest in skincare and continues to pursue advanced education in the latest products, techniques, and treatments. His training includes advanced skincare techniques such as Toskani mesoneedling and PRX peels.

Education remains at the heart of everything Sean does. He loves staying ahead of industry trends and, just as importantly, sharing that knowledge with the next generation. Mentoring new and young professionals and helping them build confidence in their craft is one of the most rewarding parts of his career.

Outside of the salon, Sean is passionate about fitness, animals, and gardening. His green thumb can be seen throughout the salon in the many plants that help make the space feel warm and welcoming.

After more than four decades in the beauty industry, Sean’s passion hasn’t slowed down. He continues to learn, evolve, and inspire his team while creating an environment centered around exceptional service, education, and a genuine love for the beauty industry.
